Active fire in Downtown Brampton; emergency crews on scene

Brampton firefighters are on the scene battling a blaze downtown.

The fire department reports they are at Queen Street East and June Avenue, just east of Main Street.

Accounts indicate there are up to 10 emergency vehicles at the scene.

Police are telling motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.

There are no indications yet of any injuries or which properties have been affected.
