Sanjay Seran is a lucky man.

For the second time in just a little over a year, the Brampton resident has won a major lottery prize.

In late 2024, Seran says he won $10,000 as part of an OLG lottery.

Now, the automotive industry worker has pocketed $100,000 by matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in a Lotto Max draw.

“I checked my ticket on the OLG app the day after the draw, and my phone screen lit up with all the zeros. It didn’t hit me right away. I think it took two weeks for it to really sink in,” the 33-year-old shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his big cheque.

Seran said when he first realized he was a winner this time, he showed his wife the numbers, but she didn’t notice all the zeroes and thought the winnings only amounted to $100.

“When she realized it was actually $100,000, she was overwhelmed with excitement and tearing up with joy,” he said.

He plans to put his windfall toward his mortgage and investments.

“It’s nice to see a big win,” Seran said. “I’ll do a lot of good with this. It sets us up for the future as we continue to build our family.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Dixie Road in Mississauga.
