A heat wave is coming to Ontario this week

Despite chillier weather conditions, a massive mid-September heatwave is coming to Ontario.
In a recent dispatch from The Weather Network, meteorologists are monitoring an upcoming U-turn for temperatures set to hit eastern Canada.
The report indicates that provincial forecasts will likely rise into the high 20s and potentially even 30s later this week, despite a cold air system that hit cities around the Great Lakes earlier in the month.
As for the reasoning behind this sudden spike in temperatures, information relayed by The Weather Network’s report states that this high-pressure change is a trickle-down effect from the remnants of Super Typhoon Yagi — a tropical storm that hit parts of coastal China and Vietnam a few days ago.
As a byproduct of such a major event on the other side of the world, a “big ridge” is anticipated to cascade throughout Canada, which fosters sinking air that heats up as it gets closer to the planet’s surface.
The temperature change is anticipated to hit southern Ontario on Wednesday — and unlike the summer heat that ran parallel to humidity from rain — this week’s heat is set to bring clear skies and sunny conditions.
