A man has died following a motorcycle collision in Brampton

A man has died after a collision occurred between an SUV and a motorcycle in Brampton this evening (Sept 13).

Peel Regional Police say that the incident occurred around 6:05 p.m., at the intersection of Main St. and Elgin Dr.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not released any information about the people involved and the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.

As of now, Main St. has been shut down in the northbound direction from Charolais Blvd and in the southbound direction from Nanwood Dr.

Similarly, Elgin Dr. has been closed to eastbound traffic from McMurchy Ave.

Authorities are urging commuters to avoid the area at this time.
