A Highly-Anticipated Restaurant Opens Today in Mississauga

If you wanted to check out a trendy new restaurant in between bouts of Christmas shopping, you are in luck–a highly anticipated restaurant is opening its doors today.
And while it isn’t The Cheesecake Factory, it’s still pretty exciting (and who wants to stand in line at mall for four hours to eat when they’re genuinely hungry?).
Square One just announced that it has officially welcomed yet another upscale and chic establishment, and this one is geared towards wine lovers.
Reds Wine Tavern, an upscale-casual restaurant with two Toronto locations, is officially opening its doors today (Dec. 11).
The new resto, located near Sport Chek, offers a wealth of from-scratch menu items, including bread, ground-in-house burgers and homemade apple pie.
“From an extensive beverage menu to homemade apple pie, REDS has plenty of delicious items to offer guests, and yes, even those with the pickiest of palates will be impressed,” reads the description on Square One’s website.

“Upon entrance, expect to be greeted with beautifully restored furnishings (we suggest looking up!), sparkling chandeliers, walls lined with eye-catching décor elements like haute couture shoes, and a mosaic-inspired floor that is Instagram gold.
As far as food goes, the resto offers a brunch menu with hibiscus bellinis, pancakes and lobster avocado toast. Those in the mood for libations can also create their very own gin and tonics.
As far as the overall menu goes, diners can also enjoy beetroot hummus, truffle tries, tinga chicken tacos, Peruvian shrimp ceviche, wild mushroom soup, khao soi lobster bowls, burgers, lobster grilled cheese, 20 oz ribeye steaks, fresh fish and more.
There’s also a tasting menu available.
As far as vino goes (because what is dinner without a nice glass of wine?), the resto offers a vast selection of sparkling, red, white and rose wines. Some wines are local (such as the Southbrook Chardonnay from Niagara), while others come from countries best known for their luxurious vintages (such as the Cusumano Syrah from Italy). The restaurant also offers classic and hand-crafted gin and tonics, craft beer and seasonal and original cocktails.
The restaurant is located near Entrance 8.
