UPDATED: A Crash in Mississauga Sends One Person to Hospital

One person is in en route to hospital following a crash in Mississauga on Monday evening.

The incident took place near Hurontario St. and Brunel Rd. at 5:39 p.m.

Peel police and paramedics are on scene and say the extent of injuries is unknown.

There are road closures in the area: northbound Hurontario is closed between Brunel and Aldridge.

Drivers can expect delays.

Avoid the area if possible.

UPDATED: At 7:19 p.m., police said that it was a pedestrian who was struck at the intesection. Officers are currently on cene.
