Burlington will be getting a second Farm Boy grocery store.

The new store will be located at the plaza at 3230 Fairview St. which is already home to Dollar Tree, Baskin-Robins, First Choice Haircutters, and Bulk Barn.

Farm Boy is expected to set up shop in a larger store that is now unoccupied. It is expected to open later this year or early next year.

“We get questions every single day about when we will be opening up a Farm Boy in your city,” the Farm Boy website reads.

The store is known for offering farm-fresh produce, butcher-quality meats, artisan cheese and a range of grab-and-go products. The stores also offer full-service hot food, salad and soup bars. It makes many of its own products from scratch without preservatives or chemicals including fresh soups, hand made sausages, burgers and kebabs, and ready-to-cook prepared meats.

Farm Boy started in Cornwall in 1981 and has since grown to 47 stores across Ontario.

“Providing a world-class, fresh shopping experience is the heart and soul of our business,” Jeff York, a partner at Farm Boy has stated.

The first Farm Boy opened in Burlington at 3061 Walkers Line in November of 2019.

The company also plans on opening a new store in Mississauga.
