Police release photos of suspect sought after Whitby stabbing

Police seek the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Whitby stabbing that left a 51-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

The man was stabbed near Dunlop Street East and Brock Street South on Friday (Dec. 2) around 6:30 a.m., Durham Regional Police said. The man was transported to to a Toronto-area trauma centre. He remains in hospital, police said yesterday (Dec. 3).

The suspect fled eastbound from Dunlop Street. Investigators are still looking into the motive for this incident.

Investigators released photographs of a male suspect and are looking for the public’s help identifying the man.

The suspect is described as a short man with a small build. He wore all black clothing.
