Woman dead after being struck by vehicle in Brampton, intersection shut down

One person is dead and another injured following a collision on Sunday in Brampton.
Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle this morning at the intersection of Airport Road and Braydon Boulevard.
An adult male and female were transported to local hospital by ambulance, where the female victim was pronounced dead.
The male victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the vehicle remained on scene.

The intersection of Airport Road and Braydon Boulevard has been shut down until further notice.
Residents should avoid the area.
The initial call to police was made at 11:21 a.m.
