More flights to sunny destinations added at Pearson Airport in Mississauga

People looking to get away to a sunny south destination as winter looms now have more options as Air Canada has restarted service to more than a half-dozen vacation spots from Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Canada’s flagship carrier is resuming flights in early October to Liberia, Costa Rica, Palm Springs, Puerto Vallarta, Curacao, Antigua and St. Lucia, according to a social media post from Pearson.
The announcement of resumed flights is welcome news for the major airline, which has taken much flack in recent months, along with other carriers and airports, over delayed and cancelled flights and other issues that have caused travellers stress while making their way through airports and onto and off flights.
Earlier this year, Air Canada announced it was cutting dozens of daily flights in the summer from Pearson Airport and other airports across the country as it dealt with issues brought about largely by an unanticipated and “unprecedented” spike in air travel.
However, in August, the embattled Canadian carrier said issues such as delayed and cancelled flights and lost luggage that have plagued Air Canada, Pearson Airport and other carriers/airports were dramatically improving.
