Budding Brampton performers and artists can help honing their craft through the Centre Stage Conservatory mentorship program.

The Centre Stage Conservatory is a free training program for youth between the ages of 12 to 18 from Brampton and surrounding areas, engaging in professional development and mentorships to enhance their artistic sensibilities.

All Conservatory participants will be able to attend monthly workshops from leading artists in their field, including acting, entrepreneurship, movement, storytelling and voice.

The workshop themes will challenge participants to view their art through new lenses. Areas of study include acting, entrepreneurship, movement, storytelling and voice.

The Conservatory is ideal for young artists who wish to pursue technical excellence in their artistic work, and are willing to challenge how they define and engage with art as a whole.

“For Performing Arts Brampton, there’s nothing more gratifying than participating in the artistic development of young people,” said Steven Schipper, executive artistic director for Performing Arts Brampton. “We see these local emerging artists grow before our eyes, and we’re grateful to them for sharing their lives with us.”

Participants will also develop and rehearse final performances both for school audiences, and for the public.

Youth aged 12 to 18 from Brampton and surrounding areas who are practising any performing arts discipline are encouraged to apply to the free program.

The deadline to apply for the Centre Stage Conservatory is Nov. 30. For more information and to apply click here.
