Ajax woman among suspects caught in drug investigation in Toronto and Stayner

A loaded gun, fentanyl and cocaine was among the haul after Durham Police’s Gun and Gang Unit officers executed search warrants in Toronto and in the Simcoe County community of Stayner on Tuesday.

Two men and a woman from Ajax were arrested and face numerous charges after the raid.

Corey Scott, 35, of Stayner was arrested in the Stayner raid and charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. He was released on an undertaking.

Jahmai Deerr, 24, of Toronto and Jasmine Gabriel, 19, of Ajax were arrested during the execution of the search warrant at a residence at McMahon Drive in Toronto

Investigators arrested Deerr and Gabriel and seized a loaded handgun, ammunition, fentanyl, cocaine and cash. Both suspects face firearms and drug charges, including possess prohibited weapon – no license and possess loaded prohibited weapon, as well as two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl and cocaine.

They were both held for bail hearings.
