Bowmanville condos take three of five least expensive homes sold last month in Durham

A Bowmanville condominium apartment complex is where the housing bargains in Durham Region were last month with three of the top five least expensive homes sold all from the same project.

The cheapest unit sold in Durham last month, according to Zoocasa, was a 2- bedroom unit at 87 Aspen Springs Drive in Bowmanville. The 800 square-foot home came with one bathroom and sold for $432,150. The unit went on the market in early August for $499,900.

A Caesarea bungalow on Centre Lane in Scugog went for $450,000 to take second place. The 2-bedroom unit (with garage) is described as “cozy and charming. Annual taxes are $1,741.

Number 3 on the list is a 2-bedroom home in Cannington that sold for $460,000. The home is located at 59 King Street.

Numbers 4 and 5 are both found at 90 Aspen Springs Drive. Both are 800 sq. ft 2-bedroom units. One of the units sold for $484,000 (it was sold previously in 2016 for $209,900) while number 5 on the list, which lists an open concept kitchen with breakfast bar as a selling point, sold for $485,000.
