Road blocked as emergency crews respond to fuel leak in Mississauga

A roadway is currently closed off as emergency services respond to a dangerous traffic condition in Mississauga’s north end this morning (Oct. 5).

A fuel leak has been reported on the southbound lanes of Torbram Road near Rena Road, south of Hwy. 407.

One lane is blocked as Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services respond to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes until further notice.

The leak was reported shortly after 11 a.m.

UPDATE (12:36 p.m.): Police say the tanker truck fuel spill has also closed Torbram southbound from Steeles Ave. in Brampton. Residents should continue to avoid the area as clean-up continues.

UPDATE (4:12 p.m.): Police said Torbram Rd. and Steels Ave. have been reopened.
