Expect delays on QEW and Hwy. 403 through Burlington and Oakville this week

Drivers who use the QEW and Hwy. 403 through Oakville and Burlington should prepare for some overnight work that will cause delays this week.

According to the provincial Ministry of Transportation, and co-ordination with the OPP, the following projects will cause closures:

  • Construction on eastbound Hwy. 403 starting at Upper Middle Rd. and going into Mississauga will see lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Oct. 3-7
  • “Moving maintenance” on the eastbound QEW starting at Bronte Rd. and stretching into Mississauga will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Oct. 3-7 and come with lane closures
  • Construction on the eastbound QEW between North Shore Blvd. and Fairview St./Plains Rd. will trigger lane closures from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Oct. 3-7
  • Construction on the westbound Hwy 403 between Waterdown Rd. and King Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 6-7 will lead to lane closures.
