Search warrants find drugs, cash and firearm in Oshawa, Toronto, Oakville and Richmond Hill

A loaded gun, a lot of cash and a drug with little purpose but to kill were among the haul after Durham Police executed several search warrants in Oshawa, Toronto, Oakville and Richmond Hill.

Two woman and a man are facing numerous charges after police seized $100,000 in cash, fentanyl and the loaded firearm during the searches, which took place at three homes, two storage lockers and four vehicles.

The search warrants, which were executed September 28, were the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Unit.

  • Nicole Del Medico, 45, of Oshawa was charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of possession of proceeds of crime.
  • Merwan Hachicha, 30, of Oakville is also facing numerous charges including four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm.
  • Emie Archambault-Vezina, 29, of Richmond Hill was charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All parties were held for a bail hearing.
