Milton man facing charges for stunt driving and flight from police

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver from Milton after conducting a traffic stop in Kitchener.

Police say the traffic stop was conducted on September 30, 2022, at approximately 6:40 p.m. when they observed a grey Acura sedan travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 8.

According to police, the vehicle allegedly travelled over 180 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was also observed driving aggressively and in an unsafe manner that included lane changes.

The vehicle was seen exiting the highway onto King St. East and police were able to stop the vehicle on Fairway Rd.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle was a 19-year-old man from Milton, who has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police, stunt driving and speeding.
