Volunteer clean-up returns to downtown St. Catharines Saturday

City staff, as diligent as they are, can only do so much so it’s time for the citizens to come out in force and help clean up downtown St. Catharines.

The St. Catharines Downtown Association, in tandem with the St. Catharines Clean City Advisory Committee, is looking for volunteers to help clean up litter in the core on October 1, starting at 11 am.

The groups say residents can help out whether as an individual or a team.

All volunteers have to be 16 years or older and yes, high school students, it counts as mandatory volunteer hours.

Anyone who wants to take part is being asked to meet at 184 St. Paul St (the intersection at St. Paul and James Street.
