Oakville residents love their pets and one local church is offering to provide them a little favour and protection from above.

The St. Aidan’s Anglican Church is holding its annual Gathering for a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.

Pet owners can bring their pets for a special blessing. Those who have lost a beloved pet are encouraged to bring a photo.

The Blessing for the Animals will be held on the front lawn of the church – weather permitting – or indoors.

St. Aidan’s Anglican Church is located at 318 Queen Mary Dr.
