Tracy Adams has been named Oshawa’s new Chief Administrative Officer, effective immediately.

Adams has been with the City for 17 years in various roles, most recently as Commissioner of Corporate Services. Prior to that job she served as Director of Corporate Communications. Adams replaces Paul Ralph, who has retired.

Adams, who was appointed to the CAO post at Monday’s Oshawa Council meeting, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters of Business Administration degree as well as an Accredited Business Communicator designation from the International Association of Business Communicators.

In her various roles with the City since arriving in 2005, Adams brings extensive strategic leadership experience and knowledge to her new position as CAO.

Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter called Adams an “exceptional leader” who has a “passion for public service and for “delivering service excellence” to the community. “Ms. Adams’ leadership style and experience will guide the entire corporation and lead the great City of Oshawa in its next exciting chapter.”
