Mississauga resident dead in fatal crash on Hwy. 401

A resident from Mississauga is one of two people confirmed to have died in a recent crash on Hwy. 401.

At 7:25 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, three vehicles collided on the 401’s eastbound lanes just east of Belle River Road in the municipality of Lakeshore.

According to Lakeshore OPP, two passenger vehicles collided with a commercial motor vehicle.

The two occupants in one of the passenger vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were identified today (Sept. 26) as 55-year-old Syed Mehdi Hussein Bokhari from Mississauga and 62-year-old Syeda Samina Sudhra Bokhari from Calgary, Alberta.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision and are looking for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage of the crash.
