Cyclist dead after being struck in Niagara Falls

One man is dead following a serious collision involving a cyclist in Niagara Falls.

Niagara Regional Police are investigating the death of a cyclist after they were struck on a road in Niagara Falls yesterday (Sept. 24)

The collision happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. on the Niagara Pkwy., approximately 200m north of Victoria Ave., near Great Wolf Lodge.

A vehicle was traveling north on Niagara Pkwy. when it struck a cyclist also traveling north.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not releasing their identity.

Niagara Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is taking over the investigation considering the severity of the outcome. The Forensic Services Unit as well as the Niagara Parks Police Service are assisting them in this investigation.
