Brampton’s Algoma University is offering $6,000 bursaries to local students

For students who want to kickstart their higher education, a big opportunity is calling in the form of the Algoma University Brampton campus bursary.

The public university is investing in the local community by offering a bursary available to students starting this September, which will cover approximately half of a student’s tuition.

Applications for the upcoming school year are now open.

The $6,000 bursary is distributed over two years of study ($3,000/year one and $3,000/year two).

Eligible students must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Meet the conditions listed on their official Offer of Admission

Students who enroll part-time will have their bursary prorated based on their course load.

Applicants can check Algoma’s website for more information on how to apply, as well as check out all the programs and events to help future students prepare for their Algoma journey.

Algoma University’s Brampton Campus also offers bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Business Administration, Finance and Economics and Community, Economic, and Social Development.
