Drivers in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and the rest of southern Ontario will be hit with a hefty hike in gas prices over the next few days.
The group Canadians for Affordable Energy predicts the price of gas will go up one cent per litre tonight (Aug. 11) and then another eight cents tomorrow.
This means come Saturday morning the average price per litre will be 174.9 cents.
Canadians for Affordable Energy is a watchdog group the monitors gas prices and accurately predicts the fluctuations in the market.
Dan McTeague, president of the group, predicted the price on social media saying the increase will cover the GTA and southern Ontario as well as stretching to Ottawa and Kingston.
“Filler’up before Friday,” McTeague suggested via Twitter.
