Public informed that Hamilton sexual assault suspect is at large

The police in Hamilton are asking the public for assistance in locating a wanted offender.

A 20-year-old female was sexually assaulted in the area of Old Guelph Rd. and Homestead Ave. on Monday (Aug. 8). Hamilton Police say there are grounds to arrest 53-year-old David John Baldwin for sexual assault, and have released a mugshot that depicts a white man with a shaved head, glasses and a brown goatee with flecks of grey.

Anyone who spots Baldwin should immediately contact authorities.

“At this time, police are not able to locate Baldwin and believe that he may be a danger to the public,” Hamilton Police stated early on Tuesday evening (Aug. 9). “Please do not approach Baldwin. If spotted, please call 911.”
