A snowstorm headed for our region could leave us with even more snowfall than previously thought.

The snow will begin Sunday night (Jan. 16) and continue throughout Monday, with local snowfall amounts of 30 cm possible.

The heavy snow, combined with strong winds gusting up to 60 km/h, will impact the morning commute and make travel difficult due to low visibility.

The snowstorm is expected to end by Monday evening.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in harsh conditions, and turn on their headlights if visibility is reduced.
