90 km winds expected in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and Milton

Special weather statement in effect in southern Ontario packing 70 km winds

It’s going to be a very windy today (March 31) in the areas of Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and Milton.

There is a special weather statement in effect for:

  • Mississauga
  • Brampton
  • Burlington
  • Oakville
  • Caledon
  • Halton Hills
  • Milton

Strong winds expected today and to start this afternoon in these areas.

The wind gusts will be between 80 and 90 km/h.
There are chances of power outages this afternoon.

Moderate south winds gusting up to 50 km/h will develop this morning.

Winds will then shift to the southwest and strengthen to up to 90 km/h in the afternoon with the passage of a cold front. Wind warnings may be issued for some areas as the system approaches.
