9 arrested following shooting in Georgetown Monday night

Nine men have been arrested following a multiple shooting that sent three to hospital last night in Georgetown.

The shooting took place Monday, May 22, around 10:30 p.m. According to Halton police, a 9-1-1 call reported shots being fired at a residence on Winston Churchill Blvd., north of Guelph St.

When police arrived, officers said they located a single male victim with gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in Brampton.

A short time later, police received another call for two males who had also been shot and were at the Georgetown Hospital and receiving treatment.

Police have confirmed all three males were injured in the same shooting incident. All three are in serious but stable condition.

Shortly after the shooting, officers stopped a suspect vehicle. arrested four males and seized a firearm. An additional five males have since been arrested by police in relation to this shooting.

Police will continue to provide updates surrounding arrests and charges at a later time.
