87 per cent of Halton population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

As of today (Oct. 8), a total of 87 per cent of the Halton population ages 12 and up has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
A total of 877,094 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton, which includes 433,136 first doses and 443,958 second doses.
A total of 83 per cent of Halton’s population ages 12 and up have now received both doses of the vaccine.
Halton Region Public Health continues encouraging residents to complete both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to gain full protection against the virus.
