82-year-old Mississauga man dies in motorcycle crash in Clarington

A Mississauga man has died following a motorcycle crash in Clarington.

Emergency crews were called to the crash on the ramp from Highway 401 westbound to Highway 418 northbound in Clarington just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, OPP said.

A motorcycle left the roadway and went into a ditch, police said. Police described the crash as a single-vehicle collision.

The motorcycle rider, an 82-year-old man from Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The off-ramp from Highway 401 westbound to Highway 418 northbound was closed for approximately four hours for the collision investigation.
