80 km winds expected in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and Milton

A special weather statement (Feb 15) in effect for:

Strong winds are expected today. Southwesterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions due to high winds.

The high winds will start this afternoon and into early this evening.

Temperatures are expected to soar into the low to mid double digits today, making it feel more like late March or early April.
