Port Credit is probably one of Mississauga’s most iconic neighbourhoods. From the authentic shops, lakeside views and an overall vibrancy in the area, Port Credit was an amazing place to grow up! If you grew up in or around PC, you probably experienced all or a number of these scenarios or places:

1) The Struggle to Park at Dairy Cream

Dairy Cream is the place to be in the summertime. However, if you’re looking to get a spot in the small parking lot in the peak of summer, good luck! The small but delightful shop is a massive hotspot and everyone is looking for a place to park.2) Thursday Nights at Ten Restaurant

Just reminiscing about the time when $5 Corona’s were all the rage at Ten. You would run into at least 30 people you knew or knew of while settling down for your affordable beverage in the decidedly upscale PC hotspot.3) Romantic Dates at Snug Harbour

One of the highlights of Port credit is this gem of a restaurant. The views on the patio in the summertime of the lake and pretty yachts can’t be beat. If you were looking to impress a first date or *special someone,* this was the place to go!4) Port Credit Memorial Arena Was Your Second Home

From the Port Credit Storm hockey team to PCFSC (Port Credit Figure Skating Club), this was the place to catch your favourite local teams and athletes. If you were a kid who loved the ice, PC Arena was your (and all your skating/ hockey friends) home away from home.5) Lunch Break at Burrito Boyz

From lunch trips in high school to ordering a burrito as takeaway, it’s still the best place for satisfying, delicious food.6) Constant Party Hopping

With a significant amount of high schools in the general area (Port Credit Secondary School, Lorne Park, Mentor Collegiate, St Paul’s Secondary School, Cawthra Park, etc) if you grew up in PC or surrounding areas, you’ve probably been to a party hosted by someone who went to one of these schools that you probably didn’t know directly.  7) Sunset Grill Was Your Brunch (Hangover) Spot

All day breakfast anyone? For those Sundays that you and your friends decided that brunch was at 3pm, this was the place to be

8) Walks with your friends along the Port Credit Pier

Ever strolled along the beautiful Port Credit Pier at night eating ice cream with your friends, only to see cute couples holding hands and overlooking the never ending lake views and night sky? Port Credit Pier was the perfect night walk, couple’s FOMO and a great place to catch up with the pals!
