Police are on the hunt for eight teens who robbed a Mississauga student at knifepoint as he left school for the day on Feb. 13.

Peel Regional Police say the victim was leaving a middle school in the Havenwood Dr./Haven Glenn area of east Mississauga at about 2:40 p.m. that day when he was surrounded by what investigators say was a group of eight masked male teens.

While police wouldn’t name the school, two schools are located in that area–St. Sofia Separate School and Glenhaven Senior Public School.

During the swarming-style robbery, one culprit pulled out a large black knife and threatened the victim, police say.

The suspects stole the victim’s Nike Tech sweater before fleeing the scene on foot.
