7-vehicle colllision closes major Mississauga intersection

Police in Mississauga shut down an intersection after a collision that involved seven vehicles, but injuries to only one person.
At 8:09 p.m. on Tuesday (April 12), Peel Regional Police received a report pertaining to a collision at Dixie Road and the Queensway. They say seven vehicles were involved. A woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Motorists should use alternative routes until the intersection can be safely reopened.

Driver hits woman who was on foot
During the course of Tuesday evening, Peel police also advised motorists to steer clear of the vicinity of Stanfield Road and Dundas Street East in Mississauga. A woman was injured when she was struck by a driver. Her injuries are not considering life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, police said.
