7 Japanese stolen vehicles found in Mississauga as two people arrests

Seven Japanese stolen vehicles have been recovered in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police Officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau Auto Theft Unit recovered multiple stolen vehicles and charged two men with Trafficking in Stolen Property and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, officers from the 12 Division Auto Theft Unit investigated an industrial unit in the area of Meyerside Drive and Dixie Road in the City of Mississauga.

The investigation revealed the unit to be in possession of multiple stolen vehicles.

Police recovered the following vehicles:

  • 2020 Honda CRV
  • 2022 Honda CRV (X2)
  • 2017 Honda Pilot
  • 2021 Toyota Highlander (X2)
  • 2015 Toyota Sienna

The registered owners of these vehicles have been located and notified by Peel Regional Police.

Kingsley Mensah, a 33-year-old man and Clinton Asante, a 29-year-old man, have been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime (X7)
  • Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5000 (X7)

Clinton Asante was released with a future court date and Kingsley Mensah is held for a bail hearing. They will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
