Foodies take note, Square One Shopping Centre has a new line-up of pop-ups coming this fall.
Square One said it has combed the region to bring trending food concepts to the shopping centre, and a series of international and independent chefs and bakers will rotate through the Food District’s concept space this fall.
“Our team works tirelessly to curate a broad range of culinary experiences so every member of our community can see themselves reflected in our offerings,” said Catherine Llagas, senior manager, specialty leasing manager, Square One Shopping Centre. “This series aims to make people feel both at home and as though the entire culinary world is at their fingertips.”
The celebration of culture and cuisine takes place between September and December.
Here are the pop-ups scheduled:
- ZAPS Polish Street Food, Polish cuisine, Sept. 22 to Oct. 5
- Sea Shanty Fish & Chips, U.K. cuisine, Oct. 6 to 12
- Norum Donuts, Korean-inspired brioche donuts, Oct. 13 to 19
- Cong Caphe, Vietnamese cuisine, Oct. 20 to 26
- Tummy Fillers, Filipino cuisine, Oct. 27 to Nov. 16
- Beach Hill Smokehouse, Texas barbecue, Nov. 17 to 30
- The SaiGon Pho & Grill, Vietnamese cuisine, Dec. 2 to 31
The Square One Food District team reaches out to local businesses to give them the opportunity to gain exposure with local audiences, the shopping centre said. In the past few years, many food concepts have had successful shopping centre debuts in the District Kitchen.
In that time, four small businesses have become permanent tenants and fan-favourites.
The Happy Chocco opened in The Food District in early 2023; The Purple Bakeshop opened in The Food District in May 2024; Potato Corner opened in Food Central in October 2024; and Bao Mama will open in The Food District in fall 2025.
