Feds report 7 flights with COVID-19 cases land at Mississauga’s Pearson Airport

At least seven flights with confirmed COVID-19 cases have landed at Pearson Airport in Mississauga within the past 10 days, according to the federal government’s travel data.

Four of the flights were domestic, taking off within Canada between Oct. 6 and Oct. 10. An estimated 27 rows of passengers may have been affected:

Three international flights with at least one infected passenger landed on Oct. 8 and 9. They originated from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Newark, N.J., and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The federal data shows that no international flight has taken off from Pearson with COVID-19 cases since Oct. 3. The last case on record was a Lufthansa flight from that day that was en route to Frankfurt, Germany.
