While many people decry the influx of condos and claim they’re ruining landscapes and obscuring the sun, highrise living is more popular than ever for a host of reasons.

Condos are, on average, significantly more affordable than low-rise town, semi and detached houses and they often come with on-site amenities that make communal living more attractive (most residents are happy to be able to swim or workout without having to pay a hefty fee for a gym membership. While condo residents must pay non-negotiable fees, they’re often spared monstrous home prices and for that reason alone, condos are becoming a popular housing alternative for young professionals, young families and older residents looking to downsize.

Here are a few up and coming buildings set to take shape in Brampton soon.

Condos Under Construction

Clairington Condos

This 12-storey residential building will take shape at 45 Yorkland Blvd. It’s part of a three-phase high-rise development plan that will bring boutique living to the Brampton/Woodbridge area.
