Pfizer Friday proved to be such a hit that it was extended through the weekend.
Peel Public Health says it has opened up 600 appointments for residents to receive Pfizer for a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. There are 300 slots available on both Saturday and Sunday at the The International Centre (6900 Airport Rd.).
Appointments are available at booking-peel.secure.force.com. Appointments are available from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday (July 17) and 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday (July 18).
While it runs contrary to the medical expertise, Peel Public Health is allowing residents who had a Pfizer first dose to specify that they wish to receive it for their second. Pfizer is also the only vaccine that it is approved for youths age 12 to 17 to receive.
