6 new store openings at Square One in Mississauga

For shoppers who love seeing new stores open in Mississauga, there are some exciting new shops and restaurants that have recently opened a brand new location at Square One.

The massive shopping centre, home to over 360 stores and services, has welcomed six new stores that will add to the mall’s already wide selection of food, drinks, and fashion.

From fashion to baked goods and more, here are six new shops to check out at Square One:

Saint Germain Bakery

As an Asian-style bakery with a French influence, Saint Germain Bakery is a unique spot that’s a must-visit for anyone craving delicious baked goods. Shoppers will find Hong Kong-style sweets like egg tarts and pineapple buns, as well as French pastries such as palmiers and macarons.

The bakery also specializes in cakes with classic flavours like chocolate and vanilla, as well as more exotic flavours like pistachio, rose, mango, durian and chestnut. The bakery operates multiple locations throughout BC and Ontario, with Square One being their first location in GTA west.

Psycho Bunny

Psycho Bunny is well-known in the fashion scene for their bright and vibrant clothing designs, perfect for those who love to express themselves and stand out in a crowd. The store crafts their clothing with exclusive fabrics, luxurious trimmings and fits that have been perfected over the years.

Some of their most popular offerings include their flashy letterman jackets, polos, sweaters and t-shirts. With a storefront as colourful and eye-catching as their clothes, Psycho Bunny’s new location is hard to miss.

Vessi

For those who like their shoes to be both stylish and functional, Vessi is worth checking out for their selection of fully waterproof footwear and apparel. The store’s wide selection of shoes and sneakers are built to withstand rain and snow, as well as provide warmth during those cold Canadian winters.

The brand continues to expand their product offerings and has recently launched a new waterproof jacket and belt bag. This is the second physical store for Vessi, which launched online in 2018 before opening their first store in B.C. in 2022.

YO! Tea

This popular new tea shop was built with the discerning tea lover in mind. All of their drinks are handcrafted with sommelier-tested tea base, and they aim to use only the best and freshest ingredients for a high-quality taste.

The menu features a variety of fruit teas, boba milk tea, smoothies and more. To top it off, the menu is always being updated with new drinks so be sure to check back regularly.

Real Fruit Bubble Tea

Following the success of their first location, Real Fruit Bubble Tea has opened a second spot at Square One inside Food Central. True to their name, Real Fruit Bubble Tea uses only fresh fruit for their selection of bubble tea, green tea, sherbet, milk tea, fresh fruit smoothies, and freshly squeezed juices. Some of their most popular flavours include the taro sherbet, original milk black tea, and strawberry banana.

The store says their green tea and tapioca are made fresh hourly, and the fruit they use is fresh and prepared on site for a drink that’s both delicious and healthy.

Poulet Rouge

Popular restaurant Poulet Rouge is bringing their menu of savoury chicken bowls to Square One, allowing guests to customize and build their bowl from a huge variety of options. Each bowl contains grilled chicken tenders and your choice of grains, toppings, and sauces, with enough options for over 4,444 different bowl combinations.

Some of their many fresh toppings include corn, onions, spinach, beans, tomatoes and cucumbers. The restaurant also serves poutine, and all of their offerings can be ordered without chicken for a vegetarian-friendly diet.

Square One has had an exciting past few months – in addition to all of these new openings, several existing stores have either renovated or relocated to different parts of the shopping centre.
