Daves hot chicken

Whether you’re craving food from a celebrity-recommended restaurant, soup to warm your soul this fall, or desserts for that instant sugar rush— here are six new restaurants that opened this month in Mississauga, Brampton and Burlington.

Dave’s Hot Chicken

Dave’s Hot Chicken first created quite the buzz when Toronto’s pop star Drake took a liking to the chicken when it was catered at one of his celebrity parties in Los Angeles.

It’s latest location at 2500 Appleby Line in Burlington opened on Sept. 15 (2023).

The menu  consists of breaded chicken with various degrees of spice, fried chicken tenders, sliders and sandwiches, all usually served with sides of fries, mac n’ cheese and pickles.
