6 bedroom home sells for $300,000 over asking

A Toronto property sold for $300,000 over its asking price, and the seller saved thousands more due to flat fee commission.

It’s another success story in a long line of success stories from New Era Real Estate, a major brokerage based in Mississauga and serving cities across the province.

The property, a six-bedroom four-bathroom home, was listed at $2.3 million but quickly sold for $2.6 million.

The home boasts enough parking space for six cars, and had the garage converted into a studio.

Not only did the house sell for way over asking, the seller only paid a $5,900 flat fee for the sale, allowing them to keep $59,100 (as compared to most other real estate brokerages, which charge 2.5% to 5% of the home’s price for commission).

In Ontario’s turbulent housing market, New Era aims to help sellers save money no matter what happens: Their flat commission stays the same even when prices go up, and when prices go down they ensure sellers still get a fair amount for their home.

“A 5% commission was fair when home prices were much more reasonable but as prices continue to climb and the job remains the same, it just doesn’t make sense,” says founder John Martino.

“New Era Real Estate was founded with the idea of helping homeowners sell their homes without breaking the bank on fees, focusing on service and not commission, while maintaining all the positive aspects of the full-service model and removing the negative.”

Since its inception, New Era has saved their homeowners millions on commission.

In addition to the more affordable commission, New Era doesn’t lock its sellers into lengthy contract commitments, and no payment is required until the property is successfully sold and the deal closes.

New Era’s full service includes the personal home owners portal, market analysis, professional photography of your property, a variety of selling strategies, home preparation, a robust marketing/advertising campaign, scheduled showings and buyer qualification, negotiation, and much more. All New Era listings go on MLS and all major real estate websites and social media platforms.

All of New Era’s agents and brokers are fully licensed with years of experience, and sellers are matched with agents that specialize in their area.

Sellers also get access to a personalized web portal that provides everything they need to know about the sale of their home: Property photos and details as it would appear on realtor.ca, paperwork signed and broken down into layman’s terms, showing feedback, showing scheduling, messaging and more, keeping sellers fully informed in real time while still having 24/7 access to their agent.

New Era continues to serve the province of Ontario.
