57-year-old Hamilton retail worker wins $250,000; ‘I didn’t expect a win this big!’

A 57-year-old retail worker from Hamilton is $250,000 richer.
Leon Jane Aisho’s windfall came from playing Instant Crossword Deluxe from the Ontario lottery.
“I’ve been playing the lottery for over 25 years,” he shared from the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto while picking up his winnings. “This was a normal ticket purchase – I didn’t expect a win this big!”
“I was very calm. I walked over to my daughter in the other room and showed her my phone screen. She was so excited to see I won the jackpot.”
Aisho plans to invest in his children’s education, purchase a new car, and save for retirement.

“This win is life-changing. I feel very lucky,” he concluded.
Instant Crossword Deluxe is available for $10 a play, and the top prize is $250,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.45.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Mohawk Road in Hamilton.
