697,767 residents in Mississauga, Brampton 18+ are now fully vaccinated

Mississauga and Brampton have hit a new major milestone for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Peel Region reported today (July 10) that 50% of Peel residents aged 18+ are now fully vaccinated.

“This is a huge accomplishment to reach near the end of our 2 Dose Challenge,” the Region said.

According to Peel’s COVID-19 dashboard (last updated on July 9), 697,767 people in the region have been fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, 1,179,470 people have at least one dose (78.8% of Peel’s adult population).

1,877,237 total doses have been administered in Peel.

In Ontario overall, 16,827,434 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, including 207,507 doses administered yesterday (July 9), according to Health Minister Christine Elliott.
