5 things to do in Brampton this weekend: Dec 9 to 11, 2022

With the holidays just around the corner, there are lots of ways the community can enjoy their weekends in Brampton.

From winter activities to festive events aimed to get you into the holiday spirit, here are five things to do in Brampton this weekend (Dec. 9 to 11, 2o22).

 

Check out exhibits at PAMA

There’s always something new to check out at Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives.

Currently, exhibits include We Are Hockey, UN/COVERINGS: Mennonite and Muslim Women’s Heads and Hearts and Facing Claude Cahun & Marcel Moore.

Go skating

The City of Brampton has officially opened the Gore Meadows outdoor skating rink for the winter season.

The rink is now open for free public skates and paid drop-in and registered programs, weather permitting.

Watch a Christmas comedy show

O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy, will be making its way to the Rose Theatre this weekend.

Presented by James & Jamesy (UK), this show combines British propriety with “an unabashed love for the unexpected”.

The show will take place on Dec. 11 at 3:00 p.m. and will feature the three-time Impresario Award-winning duo from London to perform a comedy show reminiscent of classic British pantos.

Check out an ’80s singalong event

A Toronto-based singing group is taking the stage this weekend in Brampton to perform an ’80s singalong.

The singing group, called Choir! Choir! Choir!, is a group led by creative directors Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman.

The show will take place at the Rose Theatre on Friday, Dec. 9.

Attend a festive pop-up market

The Shine Bright Pop-Up Market in Vivian Lane will take place this Saturday, Dec. 10.

The market will feature artisan and food vendors, a free photo booth, buskers, carolers and even Jolly Old Saint Nick himself from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
