5 Pumpkin Patches to Visit Outside of Mississauga

You could visit a pumpkin patch in Mississauga. Or, you could venture beyond, into the lands of fall, wrapped in your blanket scarf with a PSL in hand to expand your pumpkin horizons. If you’re feeling the fall spirit even though it’s not fall yet, it’s time to plan which pumpkin patches you want to visit this year!
Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin scones, pumpkin pie, and beyond – pumpkin everything is great, and pumpkin patches are one of the best ways to get into the spirit of fall this year. Head out to one of these patches just outside of Brampton to find a pumpkin, snap some fall pics for the ‘gram, and perhaps even carve your pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.
Here are five pumpkin patches to visit outside of Mississauga.
About an hour away in the Newmarket area, more specifically in Mount Albert, Brooks Farms has an epic pumpkin patch that’s perfect for family fun. It’s giant and miniature pumpkins galore, so you’re bound to find one that you like. Pumpkins cost up to $10 at this longstanding establishment – they’ve been around since 1875! Brooks Farms is also hosting a fall festival every weekend until November 5, complete with a farm market, bakery, and cafe, and a barnyard playland for kids.

Head to Markham and visit Reesor’s, where you fill a wheelbarrow with pumpkins from their patch and get the lot for $35! Or, you can pick three pumpkins for $25, or then purchase pumpkins at 39 cents per pound. This place is open up until Halloween, and they’re open from Monday through Saturday. They are indeed closed on Sundays! When you’re done picking your new pumpkin friend(s), check our Reesor’s corn maze at $3 per person or $10 per family.
Stonehaven Farms has been around since 1904, when it was located in Clarkson, Ontario. Now, Stonehaven is in a pocket of the Niagara Escarpment, located in Campbellville. The pick your own pumpkin patch will open here on Saturday, September 23, so gear up! They also have a giant corn maze, lots of home-grown produce, fresh pies, and real dairy soft serve.
This place, located in Dundas, Ontario (near Hamilton) is a 120-acre piece of land where you can – you guessed it – pick pumpkins. There is a catch – Dyment’s opens the first weekend of October, so they’ll open on October 7 this year and run until the last weekend of October. But it’s worth the brief wait – you can take wagon rides, trek through the corn maze, and snap a ton of pics when you go, because Dyment’s is great. Be sure to bring cash for admission – $12 for adults, $11 for kids, and free for toddlers under two years of age.
This awesome farm in Bright is all family fun during the day…and fear farm at night! Snyders has a fun farm with a corn maze, a petting zoo, and a haunted house alongside their pumpkin patch, and tickets are priced at $13.99 per person. However, if you just want access to the patch, admission is free. Pick your pumpkin from their 10-acre patch, grab an apple fritter or five, and – if you dare – stick around for the fear farm starting September 22 this year.
