The holidays are a great time to explore Mississauga’s outdoor parks and trails with friends and family.

Whether you’re in the mood to take some winter photos or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon walk, there are various options in the city.

Here are five places to take a winter nature walk in Mississauga.

Glen Erin Trail

This park walkway runs from Folkway to Erindale Secondary School.

The trail will lead you through subdivisions, schoolyards and playgrounds and is a great place to go with a group of friends, family or even to walk the dog.

Culham Trail

This pathway sits beside the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus and follows the Credit River. It’s a great place to go if you’re in the mood to do some exploring.

Water Front Trail

This trail will enable people to take a walk around Lake Ontario. This is a great spot for spending one-on-one time with someone or even taking a quiet walk by yourself or with the dog to snap some photos.

Lake Aquitaine Park

Walking along this trail will give you a great view of the lake and will make you feel like you’re getting away from the city for a little while.

Applewood Hills Park

This park stretches across the neighbourhood of Applewood Heights and is the perfect spot to get some steps in after a big meal.
