5 places to skate outdoors in Mississauga this winter

Those who enjoy going skating during the winter months have plenty of options when it comes to choosing an outdoor rink in Mississauga.

Whether you’re in the mood to get into the holiday spirit by skating at a larger rink or have a quiet afternoon with friends or family at a neighbourhood park, the possibilities are endless.

In fact, along with two artificial outdoor rinks, the City also has over 30 natural rinks to choose from.

So, without further ado, here are five places to skate outdoors in Mississauga this winter.

Celebration Square

Skating at Celebration Square during the holidays is a unique experience that is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Plus, the decor and light installations can make for great photo ops.

The rink is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.

While there is no charge to skate, ice skate rentals and sharpening services are available at a cost.


Woodhurst Heights Park Outdoor Skating Rink

This artificial outdoor rink, located at 3475 Ash Row Cres. is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting.

It is located in a quaint neighbourhood making it the perfect spot for a casual skate.

A.E. Crookes Park

Located at 140 Lakefront Promenade, this natural rink is a great spot to take the family for an afternoon skate.

Castlegreen Meadows

Grab your skates and your friends and head to this natural rink located at 2829 Castlebridge Dr. to make some new memories this season.

Forest Park

Located at 6810 Forest Park Dr., this natural rink offers residents the opportunity to enjoy a quiet skate this winter.
