5 of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga in June

The most expensive homes sold list in Mississauga is out and all these places went for more than $3 million.

The price of homes has been steadily increasing after a dip in the fall and winter. The average price of a detached home in Mississauga was at $1,620,829 in May, up 3.4 per cent month-over-month.

But the homes on this list, compiled by real estate brokerage and website Zoocasa, went for over $3 million. However, selling at this price point can be tough, many had to reduce their price or take a lower-than-asking offer.

Here are five of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga in June:

1390 Wilson Avenue

This four-bedroom home in Mineola has a natural stone facade. Set on a deep, treed lot, it has a “Muskoka” feel. Plus it has high ceilings, hardwood floors, big windows and a covered porch.

Nevertheless, this home took some time to sell. First priced at $3,590,000 in March, it was reduced and finally sold for $2,900,000 on June 15.

2118 Obeck Crescent

This four-bedroom home features hardwood floors, designer light fixtures, modern bathrooms and a family room with a fireplace. Large windows let in plenty of light. The large backyard comes with an in-ground pool.

This home sold for $3,025,000 on June 29 just under the $3,100,000 asking price.

1283 Woodeden Dr.

This three-bedroom, Lorne Park bungalow has more than 4,500 square feet of living space. It was custom built and comes with a six-car driveway and two-car garage. There are landscaped gardens and a covered porch.

This home sold for $3,300,000 on June 18, under the asking price of $3,499,850. It was listed in December for $3,950,000.

832 Parkland Avenue

Custom-built by David Small, this Lorne Park home is steps from Lake Ontario. There are ensuite bathrooms for each of the four bedrooms. The primary bedroom has vaulted ceilings. There’s also a wine cellar, wet bar, theatre and an outdoor fireplace.

This home went for $3,875,000 on June 3. It sold for under the asking price of $3,990,000 and was listed for $4,288,000 in February.

The most expensive home on the list is also in Lorne Park. This modern, custom home comes with four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There are wide plank white oak floors, heated floors, large windows, and a  landscaped yard with an in-ground pool.

There are two laundry rooms and a nanny suite. The home is also steps away from the beautiful Rattray Marsh.

This home sold for $4,212,500 on June 4, under the asking price of $4,423,800.
