Ah, 2017 — what a year. Whether or not you were a fan of this year, New Year’s Eve is upon us and everyone can soon say peace out to 2017 forever! So make your resolutions, cash in the LCBO gift cards you got for Christmas and get ready for the biggest party night of the year (and don’t forget that Brampton Transit is free for the night — no drinking and driving!).

If you’re still looking for something to do, we’ve got you covered.

Here are the top five places to party this New Year’s Eve in Brampton.

5) Bombay Palace

If you want to ring in the New Year at the elegant and spacious Bombay Palace, you can. This dinner and dancing extravaganza costs $65 a person, but the ticket is well worth it when you consider the fact that you’re getting a dinner buffet, hor d’oeuvres, a dessert table, party favours and a champagne toast at midnight. There will also be a live DJ spinning tunes late into the night.

4) Tracks Brewpub

If you want to party somewhere supercool, you might want to consider spending New Year’s Eve at this former knitting warehouse that’s known for its eclectic menu and signature beer (which is brewed on the premises). The Queen Street East resto is hosting a New Year’s Eve Karaoke Party! You and your friends and/or fam jam can sing your way into 2018 — and there’s no cover. There will be a DJ as well, plus a three-course dinner for just $29.95. The event is 19+ after 10 p.m., so have your ID on you…and Tracks will be open until 3 a.m.! Party hard, Brampton.

3) Antica Osteria

Feeling fancy? This is a great option if you want to celebrate in style, as this Mayfield Road restaurant pairs warmth and sophistication, wowing guests with a classic wine bar and comforting earthy tones. On NYE 2017, you can check out Antica’s New Year’s Eve party. The event will feature live entertainment by Radiance Sounds & DJ, a delectable meal and some champagne sangria punch. The menu looks delicious and tickets are just over $100 per person.

2) J. Red & Co

If you’re willing to spend some money on an open bar, music, and good food, you could spend NYE 2017 at celebrity chef Jason Rosso’s popular restaurant near Main and Vodden on Sunday night. The scrumptious, moden urban eatery is going big for NYE. For a $150 reservation per person, you will get a big bang for your buck — J. Red is serving a four course meal, there will be a DJ spinning all night, and there will be an open bar! A great option if you love food and drinks.

1) New Year’s Eve in Garden Square

This celebration is perfect if you want to stay in town with the family. This year’s NYE celebration will kick off at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in downtown Brampton and the event will boast live entertainment, interactive demonstrations and more. In terms of entertainment, there will be performances at Garden Square, free ice skating and marshmallow roasting in Gage Park, free activities at City Hall like a kids dance party in the atrium and a craft station in the conservatory, food trucks, and main event fireworks at midnight. If you’re looking for something a little more mature, remember that you can ring in the New Year with headliner and Juno award winning band The Sheepdogs!
